Trip Report: Borgata Sattelite ...

  Ok, so Saturday I decide to make the 2.5hr drive down to Atlantic City & play in the Borgata $350 1 in 5 , to their $1600 $500K guarantee 3 Day Deepstack.
     Cards (of course) , were Kem Bridge Standard index. Chips were Paulson Tournament Solids W/ Borgata tournament denom inlays.

      The 2 Hands that took me out fairly early:
  * I have A/J Suited, I raised, & I'm called heads up w/ a Chau Giang Lookalike guy.
 Flop comes A-6-Q rainbow.  I check he checks.
Turn is a 9, I bet 1/2 pot, he calls. 
 River is a Jack,  I Bet with my 2 pr,& he raises, I call ... Giang turns over A/Q, for a bigger 2 pr, & I took a big hit to my stack.
   *  Not much later I get A/7d suited, in the BB. Just 2 limpers, 1 is Chau on the button.
 I raise, &  Again Heads up w/ Chau.
 Flop comes A/7/2 two hearts.  I don't want to give odds for a flush draw, so I bet about the pot. He calls. 
Turn is a blank of Clubs.  Another Pot sized bet by me, another call. 
 River is a heart.  I bet again, he goes all in & has me covered, I only have about 5 BB's behind, pot is huge, & I (crying) call .... He flips over "K/5 of hearts" , he had rivered his flush & I'm out.

So I then sat down at $1/2 NL for a few hrs .. Turned my $200 buy-in into over $600, went down to $520, cashed out & went home.

Borgata has, by far, the best poker experience in Atlantic City. Anywhere else is just an okay experience, and Caesar's was a big disappointment when I played there.

Not sure what the bet sizes were when you had Ad7d but i don't think you have to bet on the River when the obvious draw gets there. That was after all what you were protecting your hand against.

Tough break but at least you basically broke even for the day.
