I looking to play some Texas Hold'em at a B&M, are there any casinos in central MN that have $1/2 limits?

I've done some looking, but not all casinos post there limits online.  I haven't found anything lower than $2/$4.

TIA

My advice would be to call the poker room itself...odds are the 2/4 you are seeing is  a limit game and that will most likely be the lowest you find for limit. I can't imagine them not having a 1/2 no limit game unless there is just not enough interest in the area.

Good Luck,

MN does not have NL.

2/4 is the lowest you'll find. I've been to most of the MN Poker rooms.

Thanks for the information.

Followup question:  Since $2/$4 is the minimum limits, typically what is the min/max buy-in?

Normally 2/4 Limit players buyin anywhere from $40-200  ($100 ave)  3/6 isn't much different.

If you are looking for a non-limit game some poker rooms offer a spread limit game.

TI runs a 2-10 (blinds $1/$2 $10 Max bet) and 4-60  ($2/$4 max $60) these tyicailly have a larger buyin, obviously.

playing 2/4 and 3/6 you'll see nearly everyone person call and the entire table see the flop.

Always buy in enough to cover what happens if you get the nuts and someone keeps reraising you.

if you want to play 1/2 No Limit, in a casino/legal card room, you'd probably have to visit Manitoba or Ontario... not that far from MN.  Grin

Or Turtle Lake, WI.  Or Iowa (there's a casino just over the border)

Agreed. When it is Fixed Limit you might as well buy in for the max and stay reasonably topped off.

generally, there should be no max buy-in for fixed limit.
