This is a reminder to all HPT Forums members that I do not allow online gambling affiliate codes to be used in these forums. Do not post affiliate codes in the forum, do not PM affiliate codes, do not email affiliate codes to my members. I have ZERO tolerance in regards to abuse of this rule.

Kinda curious as to what led to this announcement.

One of our members made the mistake of sending an email to me instead of the HPT Forums member that he was trying to contact. The email contained information about an upcoming online game and included his FultTilt Poker affiliate code.

I have very lenient policies when it comes to allowing others to promote their own website(s) on my website. Question: How many other poker forums allow you to post free ads or promote your own website to the extent that HPT allows? Answer: Almost none! But I draw the line at allowing others to use my site to promote their affiliate codes.

How does someone accidentally send at PM to you?  Was the user's name "nutN3Lewz"??

My guess is that Member A sent a PM to Member B.  Member B received an email notification of the PM, which includes the PM text...  And the email came from nutN.  Member B responded to the PM-by-email by hitting REPLY, thus replying to nutN, instead of logging in and reply to the PM by PM...
