Since i seemed to have messed up the original thread somehow  ...i'll start a new one...forgive me...lol

Here is one that I was involved in earlier.

I'm dealt  on the button.  The blinds are 25-50. Two limpers.

I make it 300. Only the BB calls, two players in the hand, about 700 in the pot.

Flop comes 

Checks to me. I bet 700. BB calls.

Turn is   

Checks to me. I check.

River is the  .

He pushes, and he is the only one at the table that has me covered. I call knowing the results.

He shows

At least you have that hand hold up, every time i get AA or KK i just know im gonna get felted to a raise huge pre-flop.  of course im playing micro-stakes right now and thats the only way to get rid of the riff raff.

There is something to be said for not having your AA or KK cracked but it is EV- to "get rid of the riff raff" who are putting their money in while they are way behind.

I held j/5 suited (power hand). I don't remember the exact bets pre flop. I think I called a 1.5 bet, but not sure. I will let the villain , victim correct all of my mistakes.

Flop comes J, 9, 5. I think its checked to me. I bet 2.50, get raised to 8, and of course I re raise to 24. I think the villain raised all in (not much more, another 10 bucks or something). The turn brought a 9. The river brought a J giving me a boat (the turn had given the villain a boat) and the turn brought the case Jack (one of the smarter players folded his trash hand that had a Jack in it). Two garbage hands both hit almost every street creating a $99.50 pot in a .25/.50 game.................it was a little crazy. As I thoght I was getting felted I started putting on my jacket to call it a night.

I'm sure I screwed up about everything but my hand and the pot size.

tbh, most "nice hands" bore me... seen one royal flush seen em all type of thing, I prefer to post interesting spots or unusual things (or relatively big pots), and I just haven't had the time to filter or pull any out lately.

This hand happened last week in a live game at our billiards club. My three opponents were all VERY aggressive. We were two tables each with four players. We don't play the final table until we're down to six players.

CO (about T34000)
Button (T11500) - had been down to T200 some 25 mins ago.
SB (about T26000)
BB (T30800) <-- that would be me

Blinds were 500/1000

CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB has   and checks. I'd raised with hands like this the last three times and decided to just smooth call.

Flop:  

4 checks (I decide to check, partly to let some of the other players do the betting for me, partly to let them catch up just a little bit).

Turn:  

4 checks (this was highly unusual with these players and I was certain I wasn't the only one slowplaying a really good hand). I only had the second nuts, but still decided to check. If I was beaten, I'd lose some chips anyway.

River:  

SB checks, BB bets T1000 (minimum bet), CO folds, Button click raises to T2000, SB folds, I reraise to T5000, Button goes all in, BB calls.

Button turns over  
BB turns over and wins T25000, eliminating our best female player in the process.

At the end, both the button and I were certain that we had the better hand and bet accordingly. I still don't understand why noone took a stab at the pot after either the flop or the turn - that happens just about each and every time.

This was probably not the best way to play this hand, but I really try to avoid doing the same things with the same kinds of hands each and every time.

I had two really nice hands in my cash game last night, they both were against Midnight Rose, and Bear (her husband).

The first hand was against Bear, we were 4 handed in a cash game, .25/.50. I had about 30 behind me, he had about 20 behind him. I'm first to act, pick up  . I make it 2.25. Folds to Bear who is in the BB. He calls. The flop brings    . He bests 6, I raise to 16, he pushes for a few more dollars. I call. He shows the nut straight. The turn and river brings Q, Q and gives me the boat.

The second nice hand I was playing in a hand with Rose. I don't remember the specifics of the hand. It was very late, and I had been drinking for about 12 hours. I had pocket 7's, flopped a set and took all her money.

In the tourney, we ended up with 11 players, I finished 9th, and don't have a single "nice hand' to post.
