1. Riffle once - cut - deal

2. Cut - deal

3. Other?

I'm gonna open myself up to a lot of flack here.  Procedure for dedicated dealer:

1. Riffle

3. Strip
4. Riffle
5. Cut
6. Deal

I would say cut then deal.  No reason for the dealer to riffle again for security reasons or otherwise.  If the dealer is going to riffle again they might as well just do the whole dance instead of rotating the deal IMO.

I guess my post was too subtle.  What I was saying is the dealer should handle the cards (nobody else).  We usually have a few people willing to deal, and rotate that duty every 20-30 minutes.

Cash game or tourney?

If it is a tourney, how do you keep seating random and also position the dealer in the middle of the table?  When a new dealer starts dealing, does everyone have to rotate seats around the table to allow the dealer to sit in a middle positon at the table?
