Attaching rope lights

Hey guys just wondering what the best way to attach rope light around the rim of a table. My arm rest is cloth not lether or vinyl. So what do you think would be the easiest way to get rope light to stick to it?

Since it's cloth, I'd just use some staples or cable nails.

They have tie down clips specifically for ropelights at novelty lights dot com. Home depot should also carry something similar.

I used fish line.
Almost invisible. thumb tac it underneath the table really thight, every 6 inch or so
