AA is so damned frustrating

I play them slow, they get cracked.

I play them aggressively, everybody runs.




I'm gonna break something.

Everyone only remembers when their  get cracked. No-one remembers when you win with aces! [as you're suppossed to ]

Actually just saying there doesn't seem to be any in-between with them.

I've had to lay them down plenty of times.  Sometimes wisely, sometimes not-so-wisely.

The problem with aces...

If you flop a set and bet it...there's only one other Ace out there!  Anyone who doesn't have at least an Ace with a good kicker, two pair, another set or a good draw is out.  In most cases, that's everyone who's out.

Best move with Aces:
- Raise pre-flop to get the dummies out.
- Raise post-flop to either see where you are or chase out drawers.
- Hope for the best.

I ran a Senior Games tournament today where I saw AA  get cracked by K-10 and K-J in back to back hands. Then a few hands later a hand goes to showdown, where AA takes down a nice pot and the guy who played it said "I thought about folding this preflop because everyone was losing with it."

The bad news ... this post officially ends my "leet"hood.
