I just bought this for a Samsung d900i and am happy to give my initial thoughts.

I like the concept and that there are many advanced options. The problem for me is usability. I think the product would be improved if:

Exiting the programming through the phone (not the software) didn't remove all previous setting. As far as I can tell (at least on my ph) you need to exit the program from the menu for the settings to be saved.

I can't work out how to enter the program. It tells me I have to select the keys to use it but I don't no what this means. I push all my phone buttons for around 1 minute and eventually it lets me in. What is this?

The help section on your website doesn't actually say how to use the program and it's options. Video tutorials would be the best (camtasia.com), but a simple write up of the main options would suffice.

The sound options don't play the sounds so that you can hear them before selecting them. (Just 1,2,3,4 etc) How do I know which is which unless I actually select them and play through 1 blind level?

Could you add an option for a rebuy period? E.g in our home games we have rebuys for the first hour. At the moment I just have it set to a 30 second level to get around this but this would be a great addition.

Another thing is that I can't work out the keys. In some sections pushing 1 button is the default "back option" and in other sections to go back its a completely new button. I am not sure if this is just my phone but I find navigating the menu extremely difficult.

On the plus side I really like the non timer related resources. The hand rankings list, payout percentages, preflop hand odds and hand nicknames will all come in handy at some stage and these are very easy to use. I also like that in the main countdown it tells you the next blind level, and how long the game has been running.

I think it is great piece of software for the price and would feel comfortable recommending it. You seem to have put a lot of thought into options - but if usability was a high priority this would be a much better product.

We thought this is the reason why you found the navigation in the menu very difficult.
This first step is needed only once for the navigation keys configuration. Depends on the phones keys input are not the same, that’s why we ask the user to press twice the “left menu key” and then the “right menu key”.

You can re-enter this setting going in : Options -> Parameters -> Menu keys.

You can play the sound directly in the sound menu option selecting a sound and then pressing the “right menu key” as shown below:

In all our tests, exiting the programme throught the phone don’t remove the settings. Please tell us more on the way you exiting with the phone: closing the slide, pressing the back button for a long period ?

This is a very good idea, we will put this option for our next version, and will send you an update.

Best Regards, PokerTimer team.
