Congrats on the success Lucky. I also like the act of going for the big pot to win and beat an opponent in HU play. I really think that most opponents wind up getting themselves in too deep on top pair or other marginal hands (although here, he should have raised more pf and bet more on the flop considering the size of the blinds; he really messed up and may have cost himself this sng with this misplay). Oh, and well played on that 45 hand, Lucky...
Thanks, it took a bit of effort and lots of patience to setup, so I'm just glad the turn gave me the chance to pull it off. I had to fold many hands on the turn that I should have folded on the flop, and play lots of potential winners of small pots very weak to get him to beat like I wanted here.
In this match I give him what he wanted, I let him take lots of small pots and gave him lots of small bets on the flop and turn, so that eventually I got what I wanted his whole stack (virtually). Though naturally I stole and won a small pot here and there to keep me afloat and to avoid any suspicion I was trying to trap.
I was pleased with it, thanks.
