If I had been in the hand, I would have.

I was playing in a charity card room last night in a tournament.  This place has poker 7 mights a week, so they SHOULD know better.  4 people were in the hand, 2 of them were all-in, with an older guy and a younger woman still in with chips in front of them.  Before the flop hit, the old guy says "want to check it down?"  I told him that it's illegal to do that, the dealer ignored me, and both of them flipped their hands over.  I again said that it was collusion and was illegal, another guy at the table backed me up, and the old guy asked what the big deal was, and the dealer ignored it.  After I got knocked out, I asked the woman that was running the tournament if that was ok, and when she confirmed that it wasn't I told her what happened and asked her to make sure the dealer's knew about it.

The only reason I didn't make a bigger stink about it was I wasn't in the hand, and I figured if neither of the 2 guys who were all-in cared enough to complain, then it was their business.  The woman won, but if her hand had been folded, one of the all-ins would have taken the pot with pocket 3s.

Especially after I said it a couple times.  But I like tournaments, and I don't want to drive an hour and half every time I want to play, so I guess I'll have to put up with douchebaggery like that.

Your right they never should have turned their cards up!
Once that happens at some casinos you can declare the cards dead!

Happend to me after the turn just this weekend! Ouch for forgot the river didn't come.

That being said if there is no sidepot standard procedure to check it out to the river but someone can always change their mind!

If fact nothing really has to be said .... there is an unsaid general rule that unless you have the nuts you check it out to the river trying to knock out a player!

If they just do it, that's fine, but by saying it, it becomes collusion.

Plus, if I have the nuts, I'm going to try and get a side pot going and win more money.
