It seems that some members have disputed chit/chat in the poker threads. To keep everyone happy (even though it's not my job.) I figured I would start this thread for those of us who dont always have the "Right" responses in said threads! Here it is. Chat away! M.I.D. "The King of Useless information."

There is religion in Poker. Every time I've been a naughty boy away from the tables the poker God(s) punish me and make my opponents out river, seems to happen every time . To the gods I will sacrifice a Poker virgin if it suits you. Spitoon ..

As far as donating some of the winnings back to the church........ NOT on my watch!! Dont get me wrong, I'm not anti-religion! I just dont practice any. M.I.D. I do go to the market from time to time though!!!

All right Guys let's talk about some poker What do you think about this crap. The wife and I gather up all the stuff to go to the monthly tourney, laptop, chips, all the info I've downloaded from here and a gymbag full of chords, speakers and what evers. We get to the restaurant hit the patio the wife counts out the chips I set up the computer and every thing and only one other person shows up I fgure I have a couple of choices here, one I can shoot the club director in the ass, two I can go to the grocery store and pray about, or three do both and flee to Canada and hope they don't extradite me. needless to say I'm just a little irate over the whole situation.

First I would've gotten stinking drunk, blame the booze for shooting the TD in the butt , get out on bail, take first flight to canada, play some cards have a few drinks with us canucks, get deported, because its canada come back a few days later, repeat the drinks and cards with us canucks, get deported, by then the shooting is forgotten the td's but is healed, and start the tourney arranging all over again. Your wife is more than welcome to join in the fun as well. The more the marrier.

There is religion in Poker. Every time I've been a naughty boy away from the tables the poker God(s) punish me and make my opponents out river, seems to happen every time . I never noticed this effect, but I guess you would have to play poker after having been "good" to see any difference. To the gods I will sacrifice a Poker virgin if it suits you.
On the off chance that I have been "bad," how do you go about sacrificing a poker virgin? Do you check raise him like he's the Pope? Also, can I do this online? What if it turns out the assumed "poker virgin" is really somebody's bot for bonus whoring? Does that mean I have to go shoot a TD in the butt and flea to Canada (not that there's anything wrong with Canada) as penance?

Of course there is religion in Poker religion is just a form of control and in poker thats the idea to control the game and I've played with Spit and he's a good player as long as there are no virgins around. If you don't know how to get rid of a virgin stick around somebody will help you out maybe Babu. I eat bologna on friday so I can't tell you anything about a pope sorry. And if you want to shoot your director in the butt we must have the same director. Never been to Canada and thought it would be a nice trip and you're welcome to come along.

looky here i go to sleep and all is well and then i wake up to this! we're so prim & proper that we can't even hijack and thread and need a separate thread to talk about nothing! i'm gonna hijack this thread and talk about poker! if you guys wanna bs, go hijack another thread! (or continue here if you so wish and hijack my hijack!) so here are the initial proofs for my homepokerchip chipco chips ( i think i have to do it in 2 posts). the wife thinks sample is b is easier to read. i've gotta agree, but i'm bugging the graphic artist at hpc to tweak the font on sample a to make it more readable

To many hijacks for me. I knew you'ld show up 4ceps now we can get this party started the shrimp are on to boil. On a serious note the chips are awesome they almost took my breath when I saw them. I lost a close friend by that same name in 78. Still think about him and I still miss him. Think I'll go undig that root so you can finish that set.

thanks man didn't think i'd find someone else with that name. thought it was original since the wife and i thought we made it up. imagine our surprise when someone asked us why we named our son after a vacuum cleaner! i also think about my dyson everyday and seeing his name and picture (see my avatar) is calming and soothing for me 4ceps

Set B!! Those look really good 4!! Classy chips! I bet they'll be even nicer when you can post a finished pic. Great job. Cute Kid!!! Now back to business, When you get those chips, go directly to Babu's, w/ wood (ply wood LOL), tools, beer, etc., get him off his rear end and build him a table. Did I forget to say BEER? Stan, Speaking of hijacks. Wasnt this thread your idea? LOL Tough break about the tourney, that sucks. I (hate to use this word) assume that you have a CCW. Right or Wrong?

Come on were Canadian 20 below and with ice and snow aint no big deal. In the unheated garage, being warmed quickly by a few Alexander Keith's or Sleeman's, or in the basement bein cooled by a few Alexander Keith's or Sleeman's.

Yeah Babu if you have real player you can watch the video. I'm not good with this stuff so you'll have to work your way through. Go to http://www.wcbd.com on the right hand column you see New Bridge Coverage click on that. On the next page you will see Bridge goes Boom click on that and you have several choices. I liked the one Bridge Demolition ( Gray - Hall ) I think this was the Latest Any time you get to see something blown up is good.

Well I'm a Canuck Newfie so Newfie steak , moose (tried it a few times needs tenderizing and marinating IMO), seafood(lobster, cod, salmon, etc.), then standard potato and veg. Mrs. Babu is Canadian/Italian(Sicilian ) so yummy yummy pasta, pizza, cutlets, sausage, lamb and lots of seafood and her sister married a Greek guy mmmmm souvlaki my wife loves that fried cheese thingy they light on fire Then all the normal stuff.

They really sell chicken feet in stores here toenails and all. Can't say that I've had the privledge of trying them though. Partial to shrimp, steak and corndogs oh can't forget the beanie weanies.
ask for the "phoenix feet" or chicken feet next time you're going out for dim sum. warning: it's an acquired taste. i'm the only one in my family that actually likes them a nice rare ribeye steak, with a side of garlic panfried shrimp...yummm-meee (don't know 'bout the corndogs or weanies tho'). i can feel my cholesterol rising now... 4ceps

No phoenix feets for this old man. Now that garlic I can go for and the beanies they just help propel me along.
