All this talk with Lucky Straights about P*'s I decided to go back into the LOW LOW LOW stakes and play some this morning.

Its been a very long week, I'm off this morning, thought I would see some hands. Whenever I play the cash games I usually do the (usually do the tourney's, more successful there) I do the .1/.2 cent games. I know ridiculously low stakes. I do it for fun, to play fundamental poker against crazies, ect...

This morning I decided to try the .05/.10 cent blinds. Wow, just that simple increase, much better table play. I'm very impressed. I bought in for 3 bucks, was up to 7, down to 1 (two very bad beats on consecutive hands) and am back up to 4 something. A/K flops a boat, I'm in position with two players betting into me, excellent.

If I can get my bankroll on P* up I might definitely have to try the .25/.50 cent tables.

Later,

Coffee tastes damn good this morning, time for another pot.

DD I am doing something very similar. I had .85 in my account Friday night. Over the weekend through free rolls and .2/.4 limit holdem I got it up to around 6 by sunday night. Had it up to 7 yesterday when I got home lost a little then got 6th in a free roll and made $12.50. Now the account is at $18.50. Not a bad little run for limit poker and free rolls against 4-10K people.

I stopped this morning after about doubling my buy in. I think I have around $25 in the account. I'm pretty successful at the 1.20 45 man tourneys.

I love playing in the morning on my days off, coffee, breakfast, a little poker. Its a nice way to start the day.

Later,

Lots of fishies in the morning has always been my experience...  that and left coasters who are at the end of a 12-hour session.

12 hours of .05/.10? That's a real grinder.

You know I’ve never played much online, but started on Poker* a couple of weeks ago with $0.00.  Got some free-roll money and started playing the occasional $1.00 SnG.  Now I’m over $7.00 real money, and well on my way to getting rich !

Was up to $28.50 but hit a wall. Now I'm down to $26 and change. Taking a break and refreshing my brain.

I want to play no limit but I am making myself wait until I have stabilized at $50. Playing limit for low stakes is mind numbingly boring though. I don't know how much more I can take.

Same here, except I didn't way, lol

flopped two pair, no draws on the board at all   I had K/2 (in BB, no raises), flopped K, 2, 8 rainbow, turn was a 3, river a 9. I bet all the way. Of course the villian had pocket 9's to river a set.......lol, oh well thats how it goes. Back to the mind numbing low stakes BS.

Do you have problems running into players working together or cheating some other way in the sit n gos and the tables?  I played in a .01/.02 game, pushed all in with rockets, one caller, and his cards weren't revealed until after the river card.  The board was something like K-7-2-8-4, and he showed K-8.

Oh and my bank roll management experiment is putting me on tilt. I take a week off and come back to the same ol Riverstars. The bad beats are really starting to get to me. I almost pulled a Matusow and threw my laptop off of the balcony. In the last ten SnG's Ive played I have rivered back down to $39 by magic cards 8 times. And by magic i mean the person had less than a 10% chance of winning the hand. This last one I had a kings against AK and 10's. Ace on the flop ten on the turn. I'm playing well, not making very many mistakes and this so called variance is killing me. Its really getting ridiculous to the point of incredibility.

I tried to grind it out today in 2/4c, I'm usually rather timid with cash games, but having plenty of money in my account for the time being decided I might play better. Started off well, got ahead quickly, took almost an hour to get 60c profit though, taking small pots here and then re-raised with KK, to find an ace on the flop and re-raise which left me folding most of my profit.

A few hands later, a little tilted perhaps I let my QQ run into AA to have me way down. Then the table breaks up around me, leaving me rather annoyed so I move to a new table, far more aggressive hoping to get more action when I'm ahead.

A few hands in, I flop a set with 77, as is usualy the case when I flop a set though, the board is rather dangerous, 789, I bet the pot, not wanting to give a free card, I'm re-raised and for some reason, maybe because its 4 handed and I've seen this guy be aggressive, I put him on straight draw, maybe an inside straight with a Jack, and consider my options, the move all-in, I have him covered, but only just.

He calls, he did have the straight, holding T6, thankfully though the board paired on the turn netting me a $7+ pot.

Only time I've gambled like that in a cash game online, normally I just wait for a premium hand, rake in a large pot and leave with another tournament buy-in.

Boy have I been there, got so bad last week, after the 5th time of being beaten buy the river, I gave my bedroom door a good  boot.

i just started playing on P* and as long as i stay away from the cash game i'm consistantly cashing in mulit and single table sit and goes.  from what i've noticed the biger buy in sit and gos are much better, guess the players are a lil better and there aren't as many donkeys calling every raise with trash and sucking out... as much...    Roll Eyes
i say bigger buy ins, that would be 10+1 for me.

the cash games on P* are a complete donk fest from what i've seen so far, but i just can't seem to keep anyone from sucking out on me... OR limping with AA, KK, or QQ and trapping me.   Embarrassed

I've had a good day on the 2/4c cash games, made a little over $10.

I'm going to focus more time to these, to get some practice playing mediocre hands, and playing things a little differently then I normally do in tournaments, hopefully it will help me improve my tournament game as well as build my bankroll a little.

I moved a small portion of the $70+ I created from a bonus on PP to PS and lost it in no time.

My experience on PS suggests Flushes and straights are regular occurances, the river has a huge impact on who wins in a large % of hands

I mostly played NL 5c/10c  I reckon the players are better on PS than on PP, or at least they are less willing to fold to agressive continuation bets.  Or maybe I jsut hit guys with hands all the time.

I have since returned to Party because no money on stars, and it was just frustrating the hell out of me.

 Stack: largest 63399, smallest 0, average 7760
Your current position is 116 out of 703
Time bank balance is 60 seconds
 in 4 min blinds 300/600 ante 50

I think the payouts start at 702, This was a little .50 buy in, they add 100 to the pot. Just screwing around on my day off while MNF is on.

I've got just over 13 grand left.

I'm not playing for a buck, I want alot of chips to make the final table, or go out soon so I can go to bed. I will be playing aggressive...........when I play that is.

When I went out with A/J a big stack before me raised it to 15k, he was playing every hand, didn't have him on anything. I bumped it up all in to 50k (blinds were 2k/4k or 3k/6k)

Then I get 3 callers behind me. Of course the original raiser folds...........I flop best hand and the rest is history.

Of course before we got to the money I was low stack (about 5k) and over played (committed myself to the pot) with an a/8 suited. The flop was something like 8/9/2. I pushed hard, was re-raised all in (committed at that time, so I called). Raiser shows a/9.........I river an "8" for trips and almost quadruple up. So its prolly poetic justice that I lose to an 8 on the river. I was just pissed at the time because I had stayed up till 130 am playing in a .50 buy in and won 2 bucks when I was in decent position to make the final table!!!!

I don't think so, the thread was simply a following of my most recent tourney. The end of the thread was simply the end of the tourney.

found out tonight that it was was of the guys I know that won the game last night.

herb speaks the truth!
i got knocked out in 34th when my AK got busted by A7(i was all in against the chip leader at the time who had close to 600K)  flop came with 2 hearts, runner runner hearts and his 7 of hearts knocks me out.... the crazy thing is, or should i say donkey thing is,  hes in the small blind, i'm big blind.  i make a pot size bet with my AK, which is over 20K.  he calls, flop comes rags with the 2 hearts, he checks to me, i make a pot size bet of around 45K, he reraises me all in, i call, sure enough runner runner hearts and i'm on the rail rooting for my bro to take this guy out.

on to the the good news, my little bro got to the final table short stacked and ended up taking the whole thing down.  $250 bucks later i'm tring to remember if he owns me any money...
was pretty sweet, stayed up till 2:30am watching him, and i had to WORK this morning!

A lot of the people in my Wed night game make Scotty Nguyen look like a rock.  My sister-in-law plays most weeks, and she's never met a draw that she didn't like.

We started with a $5 7 player tournament until more people got there (we usually have 12+ on 2 tables) and I won that.  Then I gave it all to my brother.  We were playing Queens and what follows (7 stud, Qs and the next card dealt are wild, so player A gets a Q, player B gets and 8, Qs and 8s are wild).  I had quad Qs, he had 2 hidden wild cards and a K in the hole that gave him 5 Ks and took 12 bucks off me in one hand.  Then my tilt needle went all the way to the red and I wasn't smart enough to walk away.  I went from having $35 to my original $10 buy-in within an hour.
