I'm hosting a heads-up one-on-one double elimination tournament on Tuesday and I've had this debate going on in my head.  I've been trying to decide if I should make it a $5 or $10 buy-in.  I'm going with $5 because it would bring in more people.  What do you guys think?

Matters on how many people you expect to show up and many positions you want to be paid.

Lower is better if they are new players or if you are trying to add new players. Higher is better the more experienced your players are.

Good luck, nutn

Didn't you read his post? He's going to host it on TUESDAY. It's only Monday so he still has time to decide. Be patient!

For heads up tournaments I would recommend paying out 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 places (etc), unless you're playing another heads up game between 3rd and 4th place finisher to determine who gets 3rd place prizemoney.

Yes.  This was the "longest time since last touched" thread on HPT.  However, it's a record easily broken by someone if they wait a few days.
