Guess I won't be invited to next year's Christmas party with that bunch.

Any. Literally. This was the crew that at last year's party proudly declared "we play sloppy poker here". I took their money from them then, but when they said they weren't following any rules this year, I drew the line. Life's too short to throw my money in the furnace like that. |

I completely agree. It's one thing to play bar poker for free but there is no way I'm going to play it for money.

I think a better way to start a fight is to start wagering money with absolutely no ground rules. The reason why poker is such a great game is that people are pretty much universally motivated by money. Start throwing money in a pile and make up the rules as you go along and see how long that stays fun or friendly.
