Hi All,

The new Dal Negro poker chip sets are in from Italy and available here:

http://www.tridentcards.com/Luxury+Poker+Sets/

We still are preparing images of these sets, including scans of the individual chips, but you will get an idea what they look like below. The chips are made of pearlized plastic so they are on the light side, but they are now about the size of a "regular" poker chip and look fantastic. The briar root cases are very nice too.

All the best,

Darn you, Alex.  Darn you to heck.

 Cry

Ok, I give.  Do you have these in a sample pack?  I need to review them, at least.

Hi Jambine,

They're a little over 1.5 inches in diameter. Nutn' should be getting samples soon. They look and feel great. Thanks.

Just got my sample set.  I concur with Alex; they have a great look, handle well (especially considering they're plastic, similar to standard casino jetons), and even stack and shuffle surprisingly well.

I can go to MooU (or, I suppose, the local Head shop) to try to get accurate weights and diameters for you Jam; but if it helps, these chips are closer to the diameter of a Palms B&G ceramic than to a Paulson.  They won't fit into a direct-fit 39m airtite, and only fit very snugly into a 40m with a ring; you really have to press it in there around the ring, though it will fit without the ring.

I'm about to post a scan of the chips, but want to take an actual picture in Michigan's weak F*ll sunlight tomorrow to see if the image comes out more clearly.  After I stack and shuffle them a bit more, I'll write up my review.

FWIW, these are my favorites...

I'm having a bit of trouble finding measuring tools, but I have the images done, at least.

Scanned version on left, photo on right

I do have some issues with these chips (yep, Seven, got your PM; I'm working with that as we speak), but I'll wait till I measure them first to get to that.

I'm having a bit of trouble finding measuring tools...

I got exactly 40mm with my caliper and 5g on my scale.

For comparison, measured the following with the same caliper and scales:
Paulson Dunes mold-39mm/9g
BCC Flame mold-39mm/10g
ASM A mold-39.3mm/9g
Chipco Vineyards-39mm/10g

The 40mm sounds right; I eyed it next to a B&G Palms for a good comparison, plus it fails to fit into a 39mm direct-fit airtite in the same way, but it will fit into a 40mm with no problem.  Mind if I use your measurements?

There's a joke there, but I won't touch it.

Since you have your caliper, can you measure the thickness?  I noticed that some of mine were different heights, and I'm curious to see if you get variances too.
