home game last night - 14 players to start - down to 5 - paying 3 - I am second in chips with 7500 blinds at 100/200....I raise from UTG with KK to 800 ...fold - fold - button calls (loose aggressive player)...SB folds...BB reraises all in (another 1200 to me)...I reraise all-in to try to isolate and to be honest don't mind if I do get called....button folds....big blind turns over K10 suited in hearts... - button shows what he folded - QJ of spades....I get beat by runner runner for an ace high straight.....oh well - that's the way it goes....I am still second (or third) in chips...
very next hand....
UTG - raises 2X the BB (man I hate that by the way)...next guy (button from the previous hand)...reraises to 1200....button folds....SB folds....I look down at AA...I can barely contain myself....I reraise all-in...UTG (initial raiser) folds ....loose aggressive player insta calls - I figure he has Aces as well or kings.....he shows 8.....and promptly flops QUADS.....I said nice hand.....slid my chips to him and got up and left....but man did I curse under my breath almost the entire way home.....
KK cracked and then AA cracked and out the door on back to back hands....thought I played them correctly (maybe I shouldn't have pushed all in but I thought I had a pretty good and just got outdrawn.........oh well.....
By the way that was the first time during the game I had KK or AA...I did have some other good cards but to get AA and KK cracked like that on back to back hands sorta stung!

maybe I shouldn't have pushed all in but I thought I had a pretty good and just got outdrawn.........oh well.....
Slap yourself. You went all-in, got a caller and had great odds. That's all anyone can ask for. Now, if you'd gone all-in and he folded, that'd be different...but you got exactly what you wanted...other than the flop part, but that doesn't matter. Do not rethink what you did because of the board. |

I know what you are saying and agree - but there is one guy (who does push my "poker buttons" ) that gives me "that all'in stuff works everytime but one"...routine and crap like that - I felt I dealt with the outcomes and "took it like a man" something I have been working on ....but WOW I was sort stunned...

These plays are obvious. You have no choice but to shove in both cases. Don't worry about the dude who implied that you made mistakes by going in. He's an idiot who doesn't understand the game. Shoving in both cases is not only a good play, but it's the only play.

sometimes I don't get things to quick - I try to go out of my way not to upset anyone or tick anyone off on the forums....I try to be really careful about things so as not to upset anyone.....especially politics cause I have some strong views on that subject.....

I didn't figure you were trying to insult me ..... that photo just still brings different emotions and feelings out for me considering it was a photo op for the POTUS and I don't have a very high opinion of him or his policies/decisions......we're all good!
