Hi Diego,

I am a seller of the Shuffle Tech shufflers. I am copying a review that I got from one of my customers that runs a card room.  You might find it interesting.

"I would recommend this product to anybody that was playing cards regularly. I dealt the cards myself for 8 straight hours and no dealer could do this without a shuffler. It went quickly and I was pleased. There are always ways to improve things and I would recommend to damping and noise reduction because the QAQC for performance is well within my standards and should be within anybody else. I would be happy to test any prototypes in the future that the company produces and would be inclined to purchase products from Just Poker Supplies.com in the future.

I also appreciated your great customer service and helpfulness.

 Seems like a mfgr's testimonial cut-and-paste letter. Who's the "Diego" the post is addressed to, no reference to that name in the thread at all.
  The product seems like a good idea, & I'm glad to see it available,  however it is odd that it was designed for the wide sized cards that most US Poker rooms & dealers don't actually use.
 They need to update the item to be more tolerant of Bridge sized cards, & to be more tolerant of Kem & other non Copag brands, since I've read various posts about jams with non Copags, & non wide sized cards..
    .. My 2 cents, the initial product should have been designed to shuffle the Bridge sized KEM decks flawlessly,  just like the Top Vegas & Atlantic City Casino shufflers, (instead of Wide Blackjack style Poker Copags),  but at their much more attractive price.
  Would make the item look like a more professional product, & some casino orders may have rolled in as well.
 Hopefully they are working on a 2nd generation shuffletech

I'm bias because I own one and I sell them but truthfully if they were garbage I wouldn't sell them.

The shuffle tech like every piece of technology has its pros and its cons. It has detractors and there are those that can't do without it.

I sell them and I haven't had a complaint from one customer. I've only had one returned for service and it was handled under warranty and took literally less than a week for the entire process (shipped to manufacturer and back to the customer repaired)

They work hard and stand by their product.

As far as answering whether you need one or not? I don't know. I love having one and so do my players. But there are people who would rather just do the shuffling manually. So you really need to just answer that for yourself.

Is it wise to just get a 4 or 6 deck card shuffler?  I play quite a bit at my house with friends.

If you play a lot of Black Jack it might be an idea, but for poker you only shuffle one deck...

Actually the only reason Casinos use Bridge sized cards are the size of the women Dealers hands.   Personally I always prefer Poker sized cards.....

And the Casinos use shuffletechs because unless you have an hourly rake it's all about the number of deals per hour.....

Interesting side note to that I have been to a few rooms that hand deal tourneys  and use the shuffletechs for cash games.....This may change now that they can be purchased and are no longer rented by the day!

bridge sized cards are used in general because they are easier to handle and can be accommodated by all sized hands not just women. I forget where I read this and i can't find it now.

Correct, many reasons,  & also are used & preferred by casinos that may spread draw-type games where you pick up your cards.. No one wants to fan out big BlackJack (Poker) sized cards in a draw game ....

Bridge sized cards are easier on the joints of ALL dealers, regardless of gender.  Think repetitive stress injuries . . .

For the record, I watched one of these put through it's paces at the expo this past weekend.  If I had the $$$ just gathering dust, I'd get one.  But I think the average home game can do without it.

True. But I have the feeling that it as true as people not "needing" Internet capable phones. If you don't have it then it's not a big deal though you might think it would be handy. But after you have it you likely won't ever want to go back to not having it.

I wanted one the moment I heard about them. My first post was about the Shuffletech. I bought one before they were released, and I've had it for over a year.

And I've only used it for one shuffle during a game.




I just prefer to shuffle by hand. Somehow it seems to keep the flow of the game better. It's a nice gizmo, but that's about it really...
