This is the next component of HomePokerTourney.com ... www.HowToShuffle.comThe videos on this site are ready to go but the text has not been proofread or checked for accuracy. Please disregard any text until I clean it up over the next several days. Please do not publicize this new site - I want to work out the bugs first. I also need to get an idea of how much bandwidth the videos will use and whether it will cause problems for HomePokerTourney.com on the same server. I might have to host the videos on YouTube if the videos overwhelm my server. This is only the first version of HowToShuffle.com. I will add another 10 poker videos in a month or two. After that, I will be adding videos on blackjack, bridge, pinochle, and many other card games. Good luck, nutn

Thank goodness someone finally published (will publish) this on the web. Such a basic piece of information but so difficult to find footage. Feedback: * I agree with your comment. With YouTube as a viable option, why not soak up their bandwidth instead of yours? I've seen plenty of other sites/blogs do it. As long as the footage is branded then you'll get return traffic to the site. * Perhaps the camera could be zoomed in closer to show more detail. Much of the frame is left idle. * I think showing the procedure just once is fine. If someone doesn't get it, they can just replay it. Or if shown twice, maybe show it from a different angle. * Good domain name. Can't imagine anyone being confused about what the site covers! * If Shannon Elizabeth is available to demonstrate how to shuffle...

Is that you nutN?
Looks good. Now all we have to do is get people to actually follow the proper procedures!
No seriously, that looks great and is very informative.

That was awesome Nutn. I have already corrected my method of shuffling thanks to this video (like the other fella, I didn't think it was that easy). Now the real trick. How to get your fellow guests to follow suit without sounding like the Poker Nazi! No poker for you! In my company poker tourney I had one donkey who shuffled with the cards faced up. grrrrr

That's a great tool/idea but the video is not nonshuffler friendly. If you don't know how to shuffle already, the video moves too fast to learn that method.

Really good.
I think a closer look would benefit viewers, and possibly slow motion.

Slow motion would be good, but before I saw this video, I never really looked at how I shuffled the deck and I was an A-typical non-poker player shuffler. Took me a couple days practice and I finally got it down.

I'm going to set aside a few hours this weekend to go through this site thoroughly; I could use the pointers, I think.

Or if you have a desk job and a deck of cards you can start now. Of course people stare at me while I am shuffling away. A couple people wanted to "play" poker.

Where's Regan from? Jersey?
I am betting Wisconsin or Central Canada. Jersey would be "kahdz". Regan says "Kairdz". But great site. I liked it and learned a few things. It would be good to have some Slo-Mo close-ups of actual technique for the riffle and strip.

I got it down to 20 seconds per complete poker shuffle.

Regan is from Windsor Canada. I am not sure where he was born - I will ask him the next time I see him. He is a fulltime dealer at a local casino (that shall remain nameless).
Good luck, nutn

I'd love to see some video of a dealer doing misdeal corrections. For instance, if the turn is exposed prematurely, a step by step demonstration would be awesome.

Site looks great, and is a fantastic concept!
Needed addition: Slow motion of the strip shuffle. I still can't exactly follow that. This could be done by the dealer simply slowing down. Closer shots of the actual shuffle would be great to. Oh, yeah.. and some improved audio, and High Defination, and ... OK, I'm getting crazy here...
I'm really impressed.
Cheers, KingRichard
